Theme: Nirvana's "Come As You Are' was the beginning soundtrack...no idea what grunge and Nirvana had to do with handmade $100,000 gowns for Gulf State Sheikhas, but oh well.

Colors: Pale pink; blush; gold; mauve; silver; teal.

Trends: Same-old-same-old Elie Saab; waist cinching belts, ball gowns, capes; if "It Ain't Broke...Don't Fix It"; What's new? Empire "Baby-Doll" Courtney Love-like circa 1990's dresses, mink details, shoulder flanges, mini puffy sleeves, halter neckline.

Vive Les Bretons: Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2015

Themes: We know Jean Paul Gaultier LOVES France; we know he likes to tear apart French codes; this season's Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture collection was VERY VERY French. Almost Too Mucheey according to some Fashion Writers. But I liked it! It was an Homage to Breton, Breton Crepes (not the fabric, but the food!), Breton sailor stripes, and anything Breton:

Colors: Blue/white, Breton stripes, black, orange, highlighter yellow,

Trends: Sailor Couture, Sailor pants, sailor collars, taffeta trench coats, velvet

Coachella Couture: Atelier Versace Fall/Winter 2015

Themes: Hippy-Dippy Haute; Coachella Couture; Love, Peace, and Can-You-Afford a $100,000 handmade "Haute Hippy" gown; Dresses only SUPERMODELS could wear at amFAR benefits and Cannes Film Festival red carpets; for the Emmys, Grammys and Oscars, A-list celebs will have their Atelier Versace's custom made and won't resemble any of this.

Colors: Lilac, mauve, purples, black, jade green, apple green, canary yellow, fuchsia.
