Nick Verreos--"NV Nick Verreos" EVINE Live

I am BEYOND EXCITED to announce the DEBUT of my "NV Nick Verreos" line EXCLUSIVE to the EVINE Live Shopping Network! This EVINE Live Collection is all about separates--including dresses (of course!), but jackets, jumpsuits, pants and tops!!!  As a Red Carpet Designer who has designed gowns and dresses worn by Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Beyonce as well as Heidi Klum, I want to bring that "Red Carpet" feel to the everyday woman...as I like to say "Every Woman Deserves a Red Carpet Moment"...

Nick Verreos with models in his "NV Nick Verreos" EXCLUSIVE to EVINE Live Shopping Network line

But...this are not an evening line--it's all about making garments for every woman's "red carpet moments"--whether it be cocktails with their girlfriends, First Day on the Holiday Cruise, dinner with your significant other, or a job interview. I want women to look their best and feel like GODDESSES in my designs. My new "NV Nick Verreos" line for EVINE brings together elements of my mom's Latino background, my dad's Greek heritage; bold colors, shapes as well as draping and a Mediterranean "Holiday in the Greek Islands" feel.

EUROVISION 2015 Song Contest Grand Finals: The Fashion Recap!

Eurovision 2015 Style: Looks from tonight's 2015 Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final (Clockwise, from then top) 2014 Winner Conchita Wurst, Spain's Edurne Gracia, Nina Sublatti of Georgia, Polina Gagarina of Russia and Bojana Stamenov of Serbia--Wiener Stadthalle, Vienna Austria

Earlier tonight was the 2015 EUROVISION Song Contest Grand Final. This was the 60th Annual edition of the contest. I was in LA at home but happy that it was being shown live via YouTube at 1 PM my time. And trust me, I sat and watched the entire thing!

Cutie Swede: 2015 Eurovision Winner, Sweden's Mans Zemerlow

Sweden, represented by cutie singer Mans Zemerlow, beat Russia's Polina Gagarina to win the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in an event described by organizers as beyond politics but marred by boos for the Russian that were apparently prompted by the Ukraine conflict and the Kremlin's anti-gay policies (You think!!??). This is Sweden's SIXTH victory and it came 41 years (Jeesh!!!) after ABBA's triumph with "Waterloo". Only Ireland has been more successful with seven wins.

Italy took third in Europe's iconic songfest, which this year carried the extra attraction of an entry by Australia. Many were hoping its candidate, Guy Sebastian, would take home the trophy, giving it a place in next year's contest. But Australia, given a wild-card entry this year due to its enthusiastic fan base, came fifth, not enough to secure a spot in 2016.

The race between Russian star Polina Gagarina and Sweden's Mans Zelmerlow went back and forth for most of the balloting as jurors from 40 countries voted along a worldwide audience submitting their preference by phone and app. Zelmerlow finally triumphed with 365 points, with Gagarina receiving 303. Cheers greeted his win. But the crowd's reaction to Gagarina struck a jarring note for those who believed in the contest's slogan, "Building Bridges."

Opening of 2015 Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final--Vienna Austria

About 200 million people watched on TV on Saturday as the 27 finalists, the most ever, battled it out musically. Approximately 10,000 people followed the contest live in Vienna's Stadthalle, with 25,000 others crowding the main public viewing venue in front of Vienna's City Hall. The hosts of Saturday's spectacle announced that the event had been officially inducted into the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running annual TV music competition.

Now, let's get to the FASHION!! Let's begin with last year's Eurovision DIVA Winner, Conchita Wurst:

Passing the Crown: (Left to right) 2014 Eurovision Winner Conchita Wurst congratulating this year's winner from Sweden, Mans Zemerlow

Cropped Pants, Peplums, Coats and Sequins: Last year's winner Conchita Wurst of Austria did three outfit changes during the Grand Final--beginning with a fuchsia peplum jumpsuit, then a gold exaggerated coat and black outfit look and finally a sequined/jeweled crop top to go with the same black ensemble she had worn before--2015 Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final Vienna Austria

Sequined Conchita: Conchita Wurst wearing two looks with Swarovski crystals from Austrian fashion designer JCHOERL/Juergen Christian Hoerl--2015 Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final

Other Fashion Highlights:

Sequined Hosts: Arabella Kiesbauer, Mirjam Weischelbraun and Alice Tumler--all three wore white sequined gowns. I loved Mirjam and Alice's...the last one reminded me of a Zuhair Murad Haute Couture gown:

Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2014--Not sure who designed Alice's gown but let's just say, it was very, very close to the one above.

Spain's Edurne Garcia: Ayyy Dios Mio!! Edurne went all out sexy/glam with her gold and silver sequined gown for her 2015 Eurovision Grand Final performance. As part of her segment, she "undressed" and had a red chiffon robe taken off of her. It was much more effective than when...Madonna had her cape removed. So...KUDOS to her backup dancers (and the wardrobe staff!). Edurne looked MUY sexy!

Albania's Elhaida Dani: Elhaida looked very elegant and chic in this black gown worn for her performance to "I'm Alive".

Latvia Aminata: Strapless and red. And Exaggerated Mermaid. It definitely made a statement on the stage as she sang "Love Injected". The dress was supposed to represent a "Couture Heart", I guess. I bought it.

Armenia's Geneology: Love the elegant black gowns with capes worn by Armenia's Eurovision entry. The traditional accessories give it a nice "traditional"/costume touch without being too cheesy and "Miss World National Costume".

Lativia's Bojana Stamenov: Two Words--Go Girl! I. LOVE. Her. Bojana gave it her all and dressed in her Eurovision finest. For the Grand Final, she donned a silver Empire-waisted gown with sequins. I say "At A Girl!".

Great Britain's Electro Velvet: UK's Eurovision entry, Electro Velvet duo, wore a red dress and black suit. The fun part was when the sequins on their respective garments lit up. Was it cheesy? Yes? Did I still enjoy it? You bet!

Georgia's Nina Sublatti: Feathered shoulders, hot pants and thigh-high boots...yep, it's Nina Sublatti of Georgia! While the whole look is a bit "Fashion School 101", I think it was still impacting enough for the 2015 Eurovision stage.

Italy's Il Volo: Polished, Elegant, Italian. Nothing else to say. Ba Vene!

Russia's Polina Gagarina: Polijna almost won the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. I thought she WON the Best Dressed in this white gown she wore to perform her 2nd place "A Million Voices" song. The gown was chic, elegant and Grace Kelly-like.

Congrats to Sweden's Mans Zemerlow!!! Sixth Sweden win!

WHO WORE WHAT?.....amfAR's 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet: Eva Longoria, Aishwarya Rai, Dita Von Teese, Mary J. Blige + More!

Le Celebs in Couture: (Clockwise, from the top) Dita Von Teese, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Marion Cotillard and Eva Longoria--2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Dita and Her French Boys: Dita Von Teese at the 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala, Cap d'Antibes, France (what is Kenneth Cole doing with his mouth and that bottle of water, inquiring minds want to know!!??)

In my previous post, I devoted the space to the Supermodels and what they wore to last night's 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Benefit Gala, now it's time to highlight the actresses--and a couple of singers. Now, I would be remiss not to mention the fact that a reported $30 million was raised to find a cure for AIDS and of note, the one-and-only Eva Longoria paid 540,000 euros ($600,000) for an Andy Warhol portrait of Miss Elizabeth Taylor. Bravo Eva! And now time for some of the Fashionably Fab Celebs at last night's Gala:

Dita Von Teese in Ulyana Sergeenko Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015: I love this design from Russian socialite and fashion designer Ulyana Sergeenko. I don't know where Ms. Sergeenko is getting all the money to fund this enterprise (it costs a pretty penny darlings!) and frankly I may have a couple of guesses but I won't divulge them here. I just want to say that I liked this dress and I liked how Dita looked in this Ulyana Sergeenko Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 powder blue based silk satin dress with tea-cup shaped exaggerated peplum. It's also interesting how on the 5'11" Look Book model, the dress was tea length and on Miss Dita, it ended up being almost ankle-length.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015: Dubbed the "Most Beautiful Woman in the World", former "Miss World", actress and Bollywood icon, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the 2015 amfAR Gala in this strapless ball gown from the Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The gown is EXQUISITE! It's completely hand-made, and features a nude colored silk organza base with a lilac sequined lace applique, and yes, kids, in case you are interested, it would probably set you back about $150,000 if you wanted to order it.

Eva Longoria in Georges Hobeika Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015: Miss Eva Longoria donned a powder blue-colored gown from Lebanese fashion designer Georges Hobeika and his Georges Hobeika Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Now, notice that on the runway look, the dress was shown with a crinoline petticoat underneath (to emphasize the ball gown shape), but Eva (and her peeps) decided against that. What do you guys think? With--or without the under petticoat?

Marion Cotillard in Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015: French actress Marion Cotillard wore this apple green silk satin column gown from Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 collection. This is a very simple gown that is made impeccably (it's Couture and all hand-made and would cost about $50,000 if you were to order it!). I thought she looked great.

Rita Ora in Marchesa Fall 2015: British singer Rita Ora wore this strawberry red-colors strapless gown designed by Marchesa from their Fall 2015 collection. When I first saw this photo I thought: "Is that Gwen Stefani??" and then I also thought "That's a lot of overdone dress for her!". What do you guys think? Overdone...Or just right?

Sienna Miller in Ralph Lauren Fall 2015: Sienna Miller wore this gold sequined/Lamé gown from Ralph Lauren Fall 2015. The dress is very "Dress 101" so with that, the fit has got to be PERFECT. And it is. If there's any critique, it's her deep red lipstick and makeup; she looks like she's had A LOT of Dirty Martinis from the neck up, but from the neck down, it's all good.

Mary J. Blige in Atelier Versace: Mary J. Blige wore this strapless ivory and sequined column gown from Atelier Versace. The gown fit and looked great on Mary J. I also loved the hair and makeup. What I don't like are the highlighter yellow neon nails. It's like, she wearing COUTURE yet her nails say "Low Rent". What do you guys think?

WHO WORE WHAT?.....amfAR's 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet: Model Fab!

Model Gorgeous: (Clockwise, from top) Chanel Iman, Karlie Kloss, Daniela Braga, Toni Garrn, Natasha Poly and Doutzen Kroes--2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Last night was the 22nd Annual amfAR Cinema Againstv AIDS Gala, held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the very luxe French Riviera city of Cap d-Antibes. The 2015 gala raised millions to held find a cure for HIV/AIDS, bringing out top celebs as well as the SUPER of Supermodels...

Dancing--and posing--Queens: (Left to Right) Doutzen Kroes, Joan Smalls, Lara Stone, Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn and Karlie Kloss--2015 amFAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

On the red carpet, models wore a variety of styles--from fabulous and very glam Haute Couture ball gowns, slinky and sexy slit-up-to-there columns, mini dresses and even a jumpsuit. Let's take a look at some of the best...

Chanel Iman in Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015: Chanel Iman wore a glorious ball gown from the Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Spring 2015 collection. The silk tulle nude-based gown featured a very plunging neckline, long sleeves and intricately hand sewn sequined appliques. I think Chanel looked sooooo BEAUTIFUL! This is a $100,000+ costing gown and she wore it wonderfully...and looked even better than the runway model.

Toni Garrn in Elie Saab RTW Spring 2015: German model--and former main squeeze of Leonardo DiCaprio--Toni Garrn, was right on trend with this bold printed high-lo dress from Elie Saab Spring 2015 RTW. I LOVE this dress and I also love how she wore it--from the nude heels to the slicked hair.

Adriana Lima in Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015: Brazilian bombshell supermodel Adriana Lima wore this side cut-out--and side front slit--sequined gown from French couturier Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 collection. This is definitely one of those gowns that basically either a Supermodel or a Miss Universe WINNER--can only wear.

Doutzen Kroes in Maison Margiela Couture Spring/Summer 2015 by John Galliano: I thought Dutch model Doutzen Kroes looked quite old-school Alta Moda in this tunic shaped lipstick red halter gown from Maison Margiela Couture Spring/Summer 2015. This gown was from John Galliano's debut collection for the famed design house.

Daniela Braga in Balmain Pre-Fall 2015: Brazilian model Daniela Braga looked fabulous in this black wide legged jumpsuit from Balmain Pre-Fall 2015 collection. I thought it was a super modern way of opting out of the traditional gown or super sexy slit-up-to-there dress.

Soo Joo Park in Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2013: bleach blond model Soo Joo Park walked the red carpet at the 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala in this gunmetal colored sequined slightly A-line shift dress from Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Notice that on the runway, the dress was worn with a boucle jacket over it, and a longer under-skirt plus a hip-slung wide belt. She was smart to leave all that stuff back in the Chanel Haute Couture showroom.

Gigi Hadid in Tom Ford: Gigi Hadid wore an ivory crepe column style gown from Tom Ford. The dress featured a geometric cut-out neckline, long sleeves and high side front slit. I  think the gown is super sexy but I just have a little problem with what's happening in the cleavage area and how the neckline of the dress is not sitting straight. It's obvious that there's some MAJOR double-stick tape happening to prevent any wardrobe malfunction.

Karlie Kloss in Tom Ford: Karlie Kloss also wore Tom Ford at last night's amfAR Gala. Karlie's gown was a silver sequined "tank"-style dress with plunging sides. I thought she looked both retro (kind of a 60's vibe) but still modern.

Joan Smalls in Givenchy: Model Joan Smalls wore a black knit dress from Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci. The dress had a plunging neckline (of course) and open shoulders. I loved the vamp-y styling including her slicked back hair and THAT lipstick!

Karolina Kurkova in Alexis Mabille Couture: Czech Supermodel Karolina Kurkova wore a blush pink silk mikado gown from French couturier Alexis Mabille. The strapless gown featured a full gathered flared ballgown skirt, draped bustier and bow/knot tie at the Empire section. I think Karolina looked quite elegant and Grace Kelly old school. It was a nice change to see a supermodel do "Classy" with a  capital C.

Irina Shayk in Atelier Versace: Irina Shayk wore this jade green colored super sexy gown from Atelier Versace. Once again, this is the type of style that only a Supermodel--or Beauty Queen--can get away with. And I think Irina does get away with it. For sure!

Jourdan Dunn in Vera Wang: UK model Jourdan Dunn looked lovely in a blue draped silk tulle gown from Vera Wang. I loved her loose--almost effortless hairstyle to counterbalance such an intricately gathered structured mermaid-shaped gown.

The Saint Laurent Girls: (Left to Right) Natasha Poly, Lara Stone and Lily Donaldson in Custom Saint Laurent--Who looked better? I say Natasha...what do you guys think?

Kendall Jenner in Custom Calvin Klein Collection: Finally, there was Reality TV Star and UBER model Kendall Jenner. She attended last night's Gala in a mauve colored halter gown from Calvin Klein Collection. This was a custom design, made especially for Kendall and the event. I think she looked great! I love the 70's "Charlie's Angels" vibe of the style and the train gave an added sense of drama. Oh and yes, Kendall's wonderfully toned arms and tummy can definitely pull this off!
